After responding to a recent call for panellists from Expo founder and organiser Nichola Howard, Chris Brown BFP, FCA, ATT, founder of Brown & Co, Chartered Accountants will be on hand throughout the day, along with his team, to talk to Blackpool business owners about the importance of facing their finances.

Chris has a wealth of experience supporting both small and large local businesses having previously spent nearly 8 years at KPMG.

On founding Brown & Co in 2012 Chris has gone on to build a modern and dynamic firm of Chartered Accountants based on the Fylde Coast employing 8 local people by responding proactively to his client’s needs, providing a real support to some of them during these uncertain times.

Chris said

“We are really passionate about helping growing businesses in the region. As they are struggling to find the support they need, accountants are in the ideal position to offer this support or signpost them in the right direction.

Chris is the current President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales for Lancashire & South Lakeland and plays an active role in developing the next generation of Chartered Accountants in the region believing wholeheartedly in the vital role a good accountant needs to play to help their clients succeed.

Chris continues

“The Blackpool Business Expo is a great opportunity for businesses to come together. We just wanted to show our support and do what we can to help businesses.”

Chris will join a panel discussion hosted by TEDx speaker and co-founder of Tech North Advocates, Naomi Timperley, aptly titled Survival Skills for Business Warriors where he will share his positive outlook in what appears to be a pretty bleak landscape right now.

Standing by his values, Chris is also a member of The Fylde Coast Responsible Business Network which is a business network committed to supporting the local community and raising aspirations for young people.

Nichola added:

“Chris is a genuine business warrior and believes in doing things right, having his voice heard through our panel discussions will provide some valuable insight from someone who works with people from all walks of life. It’s now practically impossible to speak to someone at the bank never mind gaining access to the advice you need. Having the support of a great accountant is the next best thing so I’m delighted Chris reached out to support the Expo.

Blackpool Expo will host two panel discussions on the morning of the event, we would love our audience to engage.

Taking place on Wednesday 2nd November 9.30am – 3pm at Blackpool Conference and Exhibition Centre.
